Königshütte
Enchants with unspoiled Harz landscape
Located in the middle of the Harz forests, the town of Königshütte is situated with its wild and romantic panorama and extensive forest and meadow areas. Here the rivers Cold and Warm Bode unite before flowing together into the Königshütter Talsperre.
For hikers as well as nature lovers, the traditional hut location is just as perfect. The famous Harzer-Hexen-Stieg divides into 2 routes in Königshütte. It offers an outstanding and varied hiking experience.
The Burgruine Königshütte towers high above Königshütte. Here the hiker is offered a tranquil, beautiful landscape panorama on the Brocken mountain and the Wurmberg mountain. With a little rest on the barbecue area you can watch the bickering waterfall and get a stamp from the Harzer Wandernadel.
We look forward to your visit – here UP IN THE HARZ!

Moosl’s tip
“You absolutely have to visit the waterfall in Königshütte. Here you can wonderfully run with bare feet through the stream in summer, play and have a picnic with your parents. … And there is also a stamp of the Harzer Wandernadel on top!”
