Do you already know the regional brand "Typisch Harz"?

In addition to the regionality, many traditional Harz events are part of our unique tourist region. In the months of May and June, the "Kuhball" in Tanne or the "Finkenmanöver" in Benneckenstein are among the special event highlights in the Harz Mountains.

In addition to peace, idyll and tradition, there are some contrasts to experience. Exciting and eventful excursion destinations and attractions invite you to be discovered.

Hiking tip in May

Family-friendly hike around the Königshütte dam ...

The hike around the Trogfurther Bridge is an easy tour with great views for the whole family. You walk right by the water around the transfer barrier. Whether on foot, with a stroller, balance bike or bicycle, this route is easily manageable. Everywhere along the way you will find enough seating with a direct view over the water.

At the beginning of the hike, we recommend a short detour to the ruins of the Königsburg. From here there is a fantastic panoramic view of Königshütte, the Harz National Park with the Brocken mountain.
