Hiking tip

Circular hiking path Stiege stave church

Small circular route through the town of Stiege along the Lakes of Stiege directly to the Stiege Stave Church. Entertaining, eventful and relaxed - the approx. 3.2 km short circular hiking trail takes you through the tranquil Harz town of Stiege. Your hike begins directly at the Stiege train station (Selketalbahn) with the smallest turning loop in Europe and continues past the Upper Pond to the Lower Pond - the famous Lake Stiege. The panoramic view over the lake to the castle of Stiege with its chapel is romantically beautiful and a popular photo motif.
