Moosl’s tip

Moosl’s tip

“Do you want to be a cowboy or an Indian?
Live in a tipi or ride a horse?
In that case you shouldn’t miss the western town Pullman City.”

Forest lake pool
Surrounded by forests, the Waldseebad Hasselfelde invites you to enjoy the summer. The lake is filled with Harz spring water and offers natural bathing fun. Large lawns around the lake offer space for sunbathing and playing.

Western town Pullman City Harz
Pullman City Harz is a living western town in the heart of the Harz. The adventure park offers children as well as adults a journey through the time of the “Wild West” with pure adventure – feel like a real Indian or cowboy for once.

Harzköhlerei Stemberghaus
Dark coals, flickering fires and steaming charcoal kilns – the Harzköhlerei is one of the last charcoal plants that produces up to 50 tons of charcoal annually in a traditional way. Visit the museum, the shop or the cozy and rustic hut with many events.

Blumenau-Museum and Heimatstube
One of the most famous personalities in the Harz town of Hasselfelde is of course the chemist and emigrant Hermann Blumenau. His life and work in pictures and text was put together in loving detail in the Blumenau Museum in the Haus des Gastes in Hasselfelde. Would you like to learn more about the history of Hasselfelde, about the life and work of residents? The Heimatstube “tells” you about it – also in the Haus des Gastes. Opening times can be obtained from the tourist information office.

► St. Antoniuskirche
The St. Antonius Church is a three-aisled Gothic basilica. The two side aisles and their arcades are quite high and the buttresses come forward only slightly. The side aisles have large and bright ogival windows.
