The GDR influenced  the people Up in the Harz. In Benneckenstein, the family Tänzer is passionate about keeping memories of this time in the Ostdeutsche Fahrzeug- und Technikmuseum alive. Two-wheeled vehicles, caravans, cars, toys, everyday objects and military technology from past times await the visitor on over 1700 m² of exhibition space. The approximately 4.000 museum objects have been lovingly put together after many years of intensive search.
