Long live the women’s rights
The traditional Grasedanz festival in the small Harz town of Neuwerk is all about the hay harvest. This used to be brought in by the local women in summer.
It is traditionally celebrated in July; The highlight is the parade on Saturday, which is led by the Grasekönigin drawn in the morning and the Grasedanz women in their traditional costumes and with lavishly decorated panniers and rakes.
In addition to the parade, you can look forward to a full supporting program for the whole family.
