History you can touch: not far from the small Harz town of Stiege is a reconstructed military rampart.

The exposed and partially reconstructed facility includes a replica of a cannon, a replica of a Spanish rider to defend against attacks by horsemen, ramparts, bulwarks and an ammunition house.
